Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has opened up about her relationship status, confirming that she is no longer with her boyfriend, Xxssive. The actress shared the news in an Instagram story, revealing that the couple went their separate ways in 2024. Nkechi expressed that she is enjoying singlehood and holds no grudges against her ex-partner.
I have been single since last year. I choose when I want to talk about my life, and the time is now,” she wrote. “There is no bad blood between me and anybody; we are good. It feels so good to join single ladies in screaming ‘God when.’ Una really dey enjoy for singlehood o, why una come dey lament?”
Nkechi, a single mother of one, further announced her decision to keep her next relationship private. She declared that her future relationships would not be displayed on social media, signaling a new approach to her love life.
My next relationship, I won’t be posting my man or doing PDA,” she stated.
Nkechi Blessing and Xxssive began dating in 2021 following her split from Ekiti State politician Opeyemi Falegan. Their relationship often made headlines, from grand public displays of affection to engagement rumors. Last year, Xxssive surprised Nkechi at her pop-up beauty launch, dispelling previous break-up rumors. However, Nkechi later clarified that the engagement rumors were false, calling it a publicity stunt.
In response to critics questioning her silence on social media about her relationship, Nkechi maintained that Instagram is not real life and that love is not something she lacks.
