The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, has announced the appointment of 266 Special Marshals across the state to protect the safety of people and property on the roads.
Mr Anthony Uga, the FRSC’s Ogun Sector Commander, revealed this to NAN on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun.
Uga stated that the Special Marshals had received training on road safety.
According to him:
“The Special Marshals would add value and bite to FRSC operations in the State.
“In addition, whatever they would be doing would translate to FRSC activities, which is to save lives and safety on the roads.”
The sector commander pointed out that they had also established a special marshal team within the Ogun State Board of Revenue Service.
He remarked that no state in the federation has established a special marshal unit within the State Board of Revenue Service.
