Nigerian International, Victor Osimhen scored for the 7th game in a row for his club Napoli with a goal from a tight angle against Sassuolo on Friday.
Hoping to extend their league at top of Serie A to 18 points, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring for Gli Azzurri in the 12th minute. Then, just after the half-hour mark, Osimhen doubled the lead. That goal now means Osimhen has 18 in 19 Serie A games, while he also has four assists in Italy’s top flight.
The goal was Osimhen’s 100th career goal. Osimhen has become one of the fastest players to reach 100 career goals in history. The 24-year-old currently ranks as the top scorer in Serie A, leading the way by six goals.
Napoli is on course to win its first title in 33 years, winning 20 games out of a possible 23 this season. Osimhen has been touted to be in contention for the African footballer of the year if he keeps up his fine form until the end of the season. Napoli travels to Frankfurt for the Urefa Champions league round of 16 on Tuesday.
