BBNaija star Phyna recently took to Twitter to clap back at an account named Brain Jotter, who is widely known as a popular skit maker.
The tweet in question appeared to throw shade at Phyna, stating:
Before I pick my next set of winners, If 50k is not too small, let me know what it can do for you. Make sure you reply using keywords *Phyna Not Successful*.”
This comment didn’t sit well with Phyna, who responded passionately:
Sometimes I’m really thankful to God because I alone know my story, I know from when and where I have been working to get to where I am.
And the e con be like say this Alist them also like to draw from me the CLOUT… PHYNA IS NOT UNSUCCESSFUL, Brain Jotter, in case you need to jot.”
Phyna didn’t stop there, adding a warning for the influencer:
Just to be clear. I will start testing the money I don’t have and the connections I don’t have on some Twitter id**t influencers; even Una mama and all the Twitter influencers put together cannot save you… just check me and see, I will show you how razz and bi ken babes move.”
However, the situation took an unexpected twist when it came to light that the Brain Jotter account might not be legitimate. Word on the street suggests that the real Brain Jotter doesn’t even have a Twitter account and has mentioned this multiple times. This revelation quickly changed the narrative, with fans pointing out that Phyna’s anger may have been misdirected.
Here are some reactions from social media:
– ifunanya_official defended Phyna, stating, “Phyna is actually successful. She must not date our senators or launder money like others to be seen as successful.”
– timwesttt pointed out, “Brain Jotter has said repeatedly that he isn’t on Twitter. It’s LITERALLY on his bio! Why don’t most Nigerians read?”
– zagorakis14 noted, “Didn’t she see where they wrote parody??”
– chiamakababygirl commented, “This girl always has something to say Nawa ooo.”
– effedeborah sympathized with Phyna, saying, “Phyna calm down, Brain Jotter has said it countless times that he’s not on Twitter… sorry oh fine girl.”
– goofyikem added, “Brainjotter is not on Twitter; he has said it countless times. Say no to impersonation.”
– praizyy defended Phyna’s reaction, stating, “You all need to shut it, parody this and that, if it’s you that someone wrote something like that about would you go to check if it’s a parody account before you get angry.”
This incident highlights the dangers of impersonation on social media, especially when it leads to misunderstandings and public confrontations. As for Phyna, her response may have been warranted, but the confusion over the account’s authenticity shows just how easily things can spiral out of control online.
