In a move that has disappointed fans, Facebook Watch has canceled the Daytime Emmy award-winning series “Red Table Talk”. Hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith, and mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, the show was the last remaining original program to be canceled by Meta, the parent company of Facebook.

Westbrook Studios, the production company owned by Jada and Will Smith, produced the show after completing its original order. “Red Table Talk” gained a reputation for its insightful discussions on various topics, featuring guests such as Jada’s husband, Will Smith, Sandra Bullock, Demi Moore, and Jordyn Woods.

The cancellation comes as Facebook Watch has scaled back its original programming efforts, following the departure of Head of Development and Programming, Mina Lefevre, amid layoffs affecting over 20,000 employees. Meta has reportedly decided to focus on user-generated content instead.

The final episode of “Red Table Talk,” which marked the show’s cancellation, was particularly memorable. It featured a nostalgic reunion of the cast of “A Different World” to celebrate the iconic show’s 35th anniversary. Fans will no doubt remember this special episode for years to come, even though the show itself is no longer on the air. The special episode included behind-the-scenes stories, special memories, and a look back at the cast’s favorite episodes.
