Responsibilities
- Manage recovery of overdue loan ethically (make calls to defaulting Members daily)
- Following up with Members daily on previous payment redemption date
- Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans
- Thoroughly understand assigned portfolio and product
- Plan a course of action in addition to tele-collections, to recover overdue loans (engage in field visits to Members location as the need arises)
- Maintain a schedule of all call logs with clear feedback from Members
- Handle and escalate Members’ questions or complaints accordingly (follow up with all positive feedback twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays)
- Meet monthly debt recovery targets
- All other day to day tasks as required
Qualification
- 3+ years experience working as a Tele-Collections Agent, Loan Recovery Officer or Credit Officer
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable educational institution (in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline is preferred)
- Experience in FinTech Loans Management
- Knowledge and working experience of Excel and Google Sheets
- Able to work effectively and productively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor, measure and report
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
- Confident with a strong sense of judgement
- Ability to apply strategy and tactics to recover overdue loans ethically
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a Team
