President Bola Tinubu swore in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as Nigeria’s new Chief Justice or CJN.
On Monday, Tinubu officiated over Kekere-Ekun’s swearing-in ceremony in the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Last Monday, the Senate approved Kekere-Ekun as the new CJN.
This came after her screening on the floor of the upper parliamentary chamber.
Tinubu appointed Kekere-Ekun as the next interim CJN following the retirement of her predecessor, Justice Olukoyede Ariwoola.

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released an update on the results of the current governorship election in Edo State.
On Sunday, the Commission issued a statement signed by Mohammed Haruna, National Commissioner & Member Information and Voter Education Committee, confirming the end of voting on Saturday, the activation of the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) site, and the uploading of Polling Unit results.
