Isa Yuguda, a former governor of Bauchi State, is optimistic that President Bola Tinubu’s government would rescue Nigeria from its long-standing issues.
Yuguda spoke following a seminar in Abuja on Thursday, hailing the President’s policies, notably those in the electricity sector, as a source of optimism for the country.
He stressed that Tinubu is on the correct track to help Nigeria overcome its issues.
He urged individuals to be patient and enable the reforms to take effect.
Yuguda claims that past administrations made significant investments in the electricity industry with little effect.
However, former governor Yuguda praised the present administration’s interventions, corrections, and incentives targeted at improving electricity distribution to the most disadvantaged groups.
According to Yuguda:
“As a forum, we are duty-bound to know what we’re achieving in government so that we can inform the general public and assure them that the government is indeed working.
“The interventions, corrections, and incentives the government has implemented to improve power distribution at an affordable level to the most vulnerable populations in this country are truly commendable.”
