Former Abia State governor and current Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu says that President Bola Tinubu was taking decisive action to end the nation’s hunger and was aware of the problem.
Uzor-Kalu made this statement on Thursday while visiting Stanley Okoro-Emegha, the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, in Ekoli, Edda Local Government Area, Ebonyi, for a New Year’s visit.
He asserts that Tinubu is making every effort to turn things around and asks Nigerians to have patience with him.
According to Senator Uzor-Kalu:
“The President is currently taking hard decisions centered on economic development. The President is very bold to take such hard decisions.
“I might not be bold enough to take such decisions if I was the President as he is telling Nigerians that we should start afresh.”
After expressing his own sadness over the circumstance, the former governor of Abia State urged Nigerians to be understanding.
“We would soon see the big light at the end of the tunnel,” Uzor-Kalu stated.
