As the holiday season arrives, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage is feeling the challenges of motherhood. Taking to Instagram, Tiwa shared her frustration about keeping her 9-year-old son, Jamil Balogun, entertained during the summer break.
In her post, Tiwa Savage wrote:
Because how am I supposed to keep a 9-year-old occupied every summer break. Abeg let them resume school fast fast #iwannaenjoymyself”
Tiwa, who shares custody of Jamil with her ex-husband Teebillz, appears to be his primary caretaker. Despite their current co-parenting arrangement, the couple had a tumultuous past. Their messy public divorce involved allegations of infidelity and lack of financial support from Teebillz, along with Tiwa’s revelation of a miscarriage due to marital stress.
Before their marriage, Teebillz was Tiwa’s manager, and their professional relationship eventually turned romantic. Following their split, they seem to have found a more amicable dynamic. This was evident when Teebillz publicly defended Tiwa during her rift with fellow artist Davido, calling him out and warning him against causing her harm.
The fallout between Tiwa and Davido surprised fans, given their previously close relationship, with their children, Jamil and Davido’s daughter Imade, often spending time together. The reasons behind their feud remain undisclosed, but it led to both artists unfollowing each other on social media.
