Nigerian sprint sensation, Tobi Amusan, showcased her dominance at the African Games in Ghana by securing her third successive victory in the women’s 100m hurdles, clocking an impressive time of 12.89 seconds.

Despite a false-start scare during the initial race, Amusan’s stellar performance earned her the top spot on the podium. Sidonie Fiadanantsoa of Madagascar trailed behind in second place with a time of 13.19 seconds.

Amusan’s remarkable win solidifies her status as a formidable force in athletics, adding another accolade to her illustrious career. With this triumph, she has clinched her third consecutive African Games championship, further cementing her legacy in the sport.

Faith Osamuyi, also representing Nigeria, narrowly missed out on a podium finish, settling for fourth place with a time of 13.77 seconds.
