Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has completed a season-long loan move to Real Madrid this summer transfer window.
Chelsea disclosed this in a statement via its website on Monday morning. Kepa joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018 from Athletic Club.
The Spaniard established himself as the first choice during his debut season, making 54 appearances which ended with Chelsea lifting the Europa League trophy.
He also won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA World Club Cup with the Blues.
“The club wish him [Kepa] well for the season ahead in Madrid, where he will work with former Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti,” Chelsea’s statement read in part.
