Human rights activist Deji Adeyanju has provided an update on the bail status of social media personality VeryDarkMan, revealing that his legal team has not received any official documentation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Despite ongoing conversations and assumptions circulating on social media about the influencer being granted bail, Adeyanju clarified that there has been no formal communication or paperwork from the EFCC to back up those claims.
In a statement shared on Monday via his social media platforms, Deji Adeyanju explained that the legal team remains unable to proceed with the bail process because they are yet to receive any concrete documents or conditions related to the release.
According to him, until the EFCC provides the necessary documents, the team cannot take further legal steps to secure VeryDarkMan’s freedom.
The activist also urged the public to disregard unverified reports about the influencer’s release, stating that only the legal team is in a position to give accurate information about the case.
Deji Adeyanju expressed concerns about the delay in communication and the need for proper procedures to be followed.
VeryDarkMan, known for his outspoken and controversial views on social media, has been in EFCC custody for undisclosed reasons, sparking widespread reactions and calls for transparency.
