Idris Ogunleye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was not imprisoned in the general cell according to Nigerian Correctional Services, as a result of his unique feminine traits.

The NCoS official in command of the Kirikiri Medium Security Facility, Michael Benson, made this statement on Monday at the House of Representatives’ investigative inquiry.

Recall that the House is looking into the N15 million bribe that the EFCC allegedly requested and the money that was delivered to NCoS personnel in return for Bobrisky receiving special treatment during his six-month prison sentence.

According to Mr. Benson:

“Bobrisky have some special features like breast. If we put him in the general cell, you would have to bring out his body from the cell. We have some convicted rapist and sodomites.”

Mr Benson added that Bobrisky was then transferred from the Medium Security Correctional prison to the Maximum Security prison for his own protection. However, the officer stated that his supervisor took the move in his absence.

Bobrisky did not come before the panel, but the House has ordered him to appear on a date yet to be determined by the parliamentarians.
