Vice President Kashim Shettima has made it clear that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration would do whatever it takes to keep Nigeria from collapsing.
Shettima stated this during the 17th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja, which was held by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
He declared that the banking sector is critical in addressing the complex difficulties confronting Nigeria’s economy.
VP Shettima said:
“We do whatever it takes to salvage the state of Nigeria’s affairs.”
The VP advised conference participants to use the venue to address both national and global issues.
He spoke as Nigerians grappled with the twin difficulties of rising inflation, which stood at 33.40 per cent, and the recent increase in fuel pump prices to N897 from N617 per litre.
