Moses Gibson, a 41-year-old man from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has spent over $160,000 to increase his height by five inches through a painful surgery. The procedure involves breaking multiple bones and installing magnetic, limb-lengthening nails to gradually pull the cut bone apart, allowing new bone tissue to fill the gap.
Moses Gibson has suffered from “heightism” for most of his life and felt insecure about his 5ft 5in height, which he believed affected his confidence and dating life. He tried various methods, such as taking online medication and seeking help from a spiritual healer, but nothing worked. Desperate to gain height, Moses turned to the internet and discovered the surgical procedure.
In 2016, Moses underwent his first surgery, which cost him $75,000 and increased his height by three inches. In March, he paid another $98,000 for a second surgery to complete his journey to reach his desired height of 5ft 10in. Despite the painful recovery, Moses is happy with the results, as the surgeries have improved his self-confidence and ability to talk to women.
Moses hopes that his experience will raise awareness of “heightism” and inspire others who are unhappy with their height to take action. He believes that nobody should feel insecure or unhappy about their height and hopes that his story will inspire others to embrace their height and be comfortable in their own skin.
