Chelsea defender, Reece James has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a scan on a hamstring problem. Interim manager, Frank Lampard, has confirmed Reece and teammate Mount are unavailable for the rest of the season.

In his press conference, Lampard gave an update on the England Internationals.

Reece had a hamstring injury in the midweek game. He got through it but then had a scan and he’s out. Mason has been carrying a pelvic injury for a while. It predates myself and he has been trying typically but he will have minor surgery, then a four-week recovery. He might make the last match but that’s unlikely, which is obviously disappointing for us.”

Chelsea is close to appointing former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino as a permanent replacement to Graham Potter, with Lampard taking temporary charge earlier this month.
