The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), Katsina State, matriculated 6012 students for its academic year 2022/2023 session.

The University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi, made it known at the 11th matriculation anniversary of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor said the school commenced its first academic session in July. Also, there is zero tolerance for cultism, indecent dressing and other social vices.

According to the FUDMA don, he tasks students with the need;

“to be security conscious and cooperate fully with the university, urging them to obey the basic security tips that may be released from time to time.”

Similarly, Armaya’u warned students against the risk of being drowned, considering the enormous water bodies within the school’s locality.

He said:

“Any student found in this regard will be appropriately punished. Our roles here are also to protect your lives and we are doing everything possible to achieve that.”

Armaya’u also disclosed that the National Universities Commission (NUC) had approved the establishment of four new Faculties: Earth & Environmental Sciences, Law, and Engineering, as well as a College of Health Sciences.

He advised the pioneer matriculants in these new faculties to strive harder to develop good grades that would uplift the University’s good name.

Armaya’u commended the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Katsina State Government and other relevant stakeholders for their numerous support of the institution.
