Hilda Effiong Bassey, commonly known as Hilda Bachi, is a famous Nigerian chef, born on September 20, 1996, in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

She has made a name for herself in the Nigerian culinary industry by winning the 1st Annual Jollof Face-Off Competition in 2021, earning her first prize of $5,000.

The chef, owner and CEO of @myfoodbyhilda_lag, has hosted a lot of cooking shows on various television channels. Recently, she was part of the judges at the Jollof Face-Off Competition. She also has over 800K followers on Instagram, hildabaci.

Hilda is best known for her culinary prowess and her contributions to the Nigerian food industry. Her accomplishments have earned her several awards, including a Guinness World Record for longest individual cooking marathon in 2023.

Hilda Bachi set out on a journey from May 11 to May 14, 2023, to break the Guinness World Record for longest cooking marathon.

On May 14, Hilda Bachi broke the longest individual cooking marathon, a record of 87 hours and 50 minutes by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon with an 87-hour, 45-minute continuous cooking run.

Furthermore, her passion for cooking and her determination to break this record has garnered a lot of attention and support from her fans and media followers on social. Many have followed her progress and cheered her on in this difficult task.

More than 500 Nigerians cheered her on, danced and listened to music at the Amore Gardens venue in Lekki, Lagos, showing her love and support. Also in attendance were Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tiwa, and Charles Okocha.

Nigerian celebrities such as Spyro, Banky-W, Dremo, IK Osakioduwa, Eni Adeoluwa, Teni, Kaffydanceand Sukibii also visited the venue to encourage the chef.

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Darejustified, Elozonam, Liquorose, and Sydney Talker were also present at the venue.
