Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has backed Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United to challenge Pep Guardiola’s side in a thrilling Premier League title race next season. Manchester City will attempt to win a fourth consecutive league title next season, having won the Premier League for the fifth time in six years this term. Pep Guardiola’s side trailed Premier League title rivals Arsenal for much of the campaign but took advantage of their wobble to storm to yet another title.
Asked about teams he feels will challenge Man City next season, Richards told Sky Sports:
“I think Manchester United and Liverpool. I think Arsenal is as well, I don’t think Arsenal is done. I am going to bring Arsenal into it as well.
“I think Chelsea are going to be really good next season under [incoming manager] Mauricio Pochettino.”
