Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has said it would be treacherous for him to choose who was a better footballer between Super Eagles legends, Kanu Nwankwo and Austin Jay Jay Okocha.
Burna Boy recently performed at the Champions League final kickoff show on Saturday night. Following the match, he spoke with some football greats on CBS Sports. Thierry Henry, a former player for both Arsenal and France, challenged him to decide between Kanu and Okocha, the superior player.
“I have one for you, you go Kanu or Okocha? Henry asked.
Burna Boy responded: “Don’t do this to me, man. No, I can’t do this.
“This is treachery. It is treason. I can get hanged for it.”
However, after being prodded further, Burna Boy is obliged to whisper his choice to Henry. Former England international, Micah Richards claimed he heard Okocha. But Henry refused to announce who he had picked, saying
“I will respect this one.”
He told Micah that he didn’t know who he picked.
