Mabel Makun, the wife of comedian Ayo Makun, has taken to social media to express her deep concern and frustration regarding the abysmal state of the Nigerian Immigration Service passport office in Ikeja. Sharing a video on her Instagram page, Mabel revealed an unkempt and unhygienic environment within the office premises.
Mabel emphasized to the government that such an unconducive setting should not be subjected to either the officers/staff or the applicants. She drew attention to the stark contradiction between Nigeria’s status as one of Africa’s top oil producers and its poor state of affairs.
Expressing her disappointment, Mabel highlighted Nigeria’s significant oil reserves. Ranking 11th among the 20 countries with the highest oil reserves globally. She questioned how a nation with abundant natural resources could allow its institutions to deteriorate to such an extent.
In her caption, Mabel recounted her personal experience at the Nigerian Immigration Service passport office. Located at 5 Assibifi Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja. She called for immediate action to address the dire conditions. Faced by both the officials and the applicants, emphasizing that they deserved better.
