In Abeokuta, Ogun State, an FRSC patrol squad rescued a female passenger kidnapped by a commercial biker or Okada rider.  According to Florence Okpe, the FRSC Ogun spokesman, the patrol squad along the Abeokuta-Sagamu highway on Sunday rescued the woman from the Bajaj bike rider, identified as Dauda Usman, with bike registration number PKA211WA RED BAJAJ.

The incident happened at 3 p.m., according to Okpe,

“when some commercial motorcycle riders informed the FRSC team of a woman being taken away by a suspected bike rider due to the alarm raised by the woman on bike.”

Okpe said the police squad acted promptly and apprehended the bike rider.

During interrogation, the woman told the FRSC patrol leader that the rider refused to stop after they arrived at the Immigration Centre in Abeokuta.

The woman requested assistance when she alleged that the Okada rider continued to another location, prompting several bike riders stationed at Laderin Estate crossroads to follow them promptly.

She said, “The patrol team, with the help of other bike riders, were able to rescue the woman and handed them to the police Special Weapons and Tactics team SWAT”.
