CREDIT CONTROLLER – Job Description
Daystar Power Group is looking for a competent Credit Controller, who will oversee the credit risk management processes and play a key role in minimizing the company’s credit risk and collecting receivables on time.

Responsibilities
- Implement the company’s credit risk management policies.
- Perform credit risk assessment on new clients and monitor the credit risk behavior of existing clients.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Process client invoices and ensure they are submitted to the client on time.
- Conduct price reviews with clients on a timely basis.
- Monitor client’s receivables to ensure issues are proactively identified and escalated to management.
- Follow up on invoices to ensure payments are collected on time.
- Maintain a schedule of commercial agreements with clients and ensure that they are implemented.
- Reconcile client accounts and resolve any client issues or queries on time.
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities and correspondences.
- Ensure the receivables GL is regularly reconciled.
- Supervise and coach team members.
Qualification
1. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines – Accounting, Finance, Economics.
- Chartered accounting qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is an advantage.
2. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of work experience in credit control with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.
3. Language Proficiency: English (with good communication skills and accurate reporting skills).
4. Character:

c. Passionate leader with excellent team leadership skills.

- Strong proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Extensive experience with accounting software packages.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
