Luis Castro has reportedly accepted an offer to coach Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.

The Portuguese coach will leave Brazilian club Botafogo to take charge as Al Nassr has been looking for a manager since dismissing Rudi Garcia in April.

Sources said Ronaldo contacted fellow countryman Castro to convince him to take the Al Nassr job.

Thursday’s Copa Sudamericana group game against Magallanes will be Castro’s last game in charge of Botafogo.

The project in Saudi Arabia has attracted the former Shakhtar Donetsk boss as he bids to improve the club and the league.

Luis Castro will put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Al Nassr, with an option to extend the deal for a further season.

Al-Nassr failed to win the Pro League title last season, finishing second behind Al-Ittihad.

On Friday, Castro will take charge of Botafogo against Magallanes in the Copa Sudamericana and head to Al-Nassr.
