The upcoming personnel audit and worker verification by the Osun State government has angered the state workforce. The state government demand that the employees provide a copy of their bank statements.
The government of Governor Ademola Adeleke had earlier informed the state’s workforce of plans to undertake a staff audit.
In a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke also gave the state’s workforce the assurance that the audit will increase the government’s ability to meet their demands.
The labour unions had protested the exercise, charging the state administration with failing to carry along the workers in the proposed audit.
However, the same labour unions did say that they were not absolutely opposing the exercise.
