Draymond Green, a 4-time champion with Golden State, has decided to stay with Golden State, the only NBA team he has ever played for.
Through 11 seasons, Green has, earned four first-team All-Defensive team nods and was the league’s Defensive Player of the Year for the 2016-17 season.
The 33-year-old veteran averaged 8.5 points (53/31/71 shooting splits), 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 31.5 minutes over 73 games for the Warriors this past season, earning his eighth spot on an All-Defensive roster.
Draymond Green declined his $27.5million player option last week, but has since agreed a lucrative new contract that will take him through until the age of 37.
It also sets the stage for Green to retire with the Warriors, as he played his entire career with the team since the team drafted him at No. 35 overall in 2012.
He won titles with the team in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022, and is a four-time All-Star.
