Onyii Wamah, the former Head of the Civil Service in Abia State, whom Governor Alex Otti had suspended, handed over to Lady Joy Maduka, the interim head of service.
He carried out the handover at his office at Library Avenue.

The previous HoS performed the handover by displaying to his successor papers and documents related to office management.

In the Abia State Ministry of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and New Business Development, the highest-ranking officer in the Ministry, Mr. Ngozi Osuagwu, took over from Mr. Nkwachikwu Agomo, the former permanent secretary.

It was a hive of activity at the Abia State Secretariat in Umuahia. Several suspended Permanent Secretaries went to their offices to hand over to the highest-ranking officials in their respective ministries.

However, drama unfolded at the State Secretariat, where one of the suspended Perm Secs supposedly sobbed inconsolably inside his car after conducting the transfer at the 4-story Secretariat and expressing disbelief over his “sudden” suspension.

One of the suspended Perm Secs also declined to give the media any interviews about the current event.
