Popular actress Eniola Badmus has taken a stand against online defamation, leading to the arrest of a lady identified as Oge, who allegedly spread false and damaging information about the actress on social media.
In a video that quickly went viral, Oge made serious allegations against Eniola, accusing her of being involved in illegal activities and acting as a pimp, connecting women to politicians. The video gained traction on social media platforms, causing significant distress to the actress.
Oge claimed that she and her friend encountered Eniola Badmus in December of the previous year. According to her account, Eniola asked her friend if she could introduce her to one of her politician friends. However, Oge stated that her friend declined the offer. Furthermore, she accused Eniola of running a pimping business.
Upon becoming aware of the defamatory video, Eniola Badmus reported the matter to the police, leading to a thorough investigation. As a result, Oge was apprehended on Saturday, July 22.
Following her arrest, Oge reportedly confessed that she had been paid N200,000 to defame the actress and admitted that her claims were false. In a video captured after her arrest, Oge offered a public apology to Eniola Badmus for her actions.
