Job Description
We currently use a fragmented collection of Retool applications, BI tools like Blazer, and some ad hoc admin pages. As our first internal tools engineer you will rationalize those systems and be a force multiplier across the organization, building tools to help our team members do their jobs as efficiently and quickly as possible.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining internal applications that make it easy and efficient for us to triage customer tickets and understand our customer’s use cases.
Qualification
- 3+ years of experience with javascript or typescript and Ruby on Rails or similar dynamic frameworks
- Experience building maintainable and scalable internal tools using Retool or similar providers.
- A basic understanding of SQL and REST APIs. You won’t generally need to build complex databases but you’ll need to be proficient at accessing them
- A high level of empathy for your users and impatience with inefficient workflows.
