Trent Alexander-Arnold withdraws from England Squad

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s untimely injury has dealt a blow to the England national squad. The Liverpool FC vice-captain has been forced to withdraw from international duty, leaving fans and teammates disappointed. This setback means he will be unable to represent his country in the upcoming fixtures against Ukraine and Scotland.

Once club football returns after the international break, Liverpool take on Wolves on Saturday 16 September in the lunchtime kick-off, before their Europa League campaign gets underway against LASK at Anfield five days later.

Injured or not, Alexander-Arnold isn’t expected to play a major role in the Reds’ group stage campaign this season – not until the latter stages of the competition.

The injury occurred during Liverpool’s Premier League victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, forcing Alexander-Arnold off the field. As a result, he will now focus on his rehabilitation, with the Liverpool medical staff overseeing his recovery at the AXA Training Centre. This news isn’t isolated, as Jack Grealish has also withdrawn from the England setup
