Manchester United has been hit with another blow as Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to be sidelined for up to two months due to a hamstring injury. The defender sustained the injury during the recent 3-1 defeat against Brighton, where he came on as a substitute.
The news was confirmed by Manchester United on their website, stating that Wan-Bissaka faces “a period on the sidelines.” This injury adds to the club’s defensive woes, with Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and several other players already out due to various reasons.
Wan-Bissaka’s absence will force Manchester United to reshuffle their defensive lineup, and he will miss key fixtures including the Champions League opener against Bayern Munich and Premier League clashes against Burnley, Crystal Palace, and Brentford. He’ll also be unavailable for the Carabao Cup match against Palace and the Champions League group game against Galatasaray.
The 25-year-old had been a consistent presence in Manchester United’s starting lineup, and his injury is a setback for the team as they navigate through a challenging season.
