Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has appealed to fans for patience as the team faces its second-worst Premier League season start, garnering only five points from five matches.
The disappointing goalless draw against Bournemouth has left supporters frustrated, but Pochettino emphasized the team’s injury woes, with 12 players sidelined.
Despite criticism from fans, Pochettino remains positive and determined to overcome the challenges.
The fact that over £1billion has been spent on new signings since Todd Boehly and co took over the club in May 2022 will add to the frustrations of fans but manager Pochettino was quick to remind any doubters about the injury problems they currently have.
“What can we do?” said Pochettino. “For me, I have nothing to say. The fans can do whatever they want.
“We know what we need to do, we are strong in our belief. We have 12 injured and today we had three or four young guys and two keepers on the bench.
“I’m going to cry? I’m going to complain? To who? I need to accept this, the challenge and keep being positive.”
