Reports suggest that the 36-year-old has received confirmation of his forthcoming triumph in this prestigious annual ceremony. Messi’s outstanding performance includes leading Argentina to victory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where they triumphed over France in a thrilling 4-2 penalty shootout following a breathtaking 3-3 draw.
Throughout the tournament, Messi scored seven goals and provided three assists, earning him the title of Player of the Tournament. Additionally, he secured the French Ligue 1 playmaker of the year award, thanks to his 16 assists and winning the league title.
