Former NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, has initiated legal action against Davido, alleging breach of contract after the singer’s absence from an event, stirring a lawsuit seeking N2.3 billion.
In response to the reported failure of Davido to honor a concert engagement despite payment and a private jet booking, organizers have taken legal action, filing a N2.3 billion lawsuit against Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) Limited.
Pinnick, under the name Brownhill Investment Company Limited, seeks N150 million for legal fees, an additional N30 million for lawsuit filing expenses, and demands a public apology from Davido across his social media accounts for four consecutive days.
Moreover, Pinnick seeks an injunction to bar Davido from performing at any Nigerian event until the disputed payment is refunded.
The dispute saw Davido responding initially with a retort against Pinnick’s allegations, stating he would support the NFF. Nevertheless, amid mounting pressure, Davido eventually apologized to his Warri fans, offering an explanation for his absence from the event.
