Job Description
The Programs Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of proposed change, coordination of the school programs projects, and management. The program manager is responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of programs They will develop and maintain the program environment to support each individual project within it. The role is crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm, and momentum. The Programs Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, coordinating, and executing various academic and extracurricular programs. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent IT solution-driven skills, data analysis, organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for creating memorable and enriching experiences for students and the school community.
Responsibilities Program Coordination:
- Provide strategic direction in planning, developing, and coordinating a diverse range of academic and extracurricular programs that align with the schools mission and objectives
- Ensure the goals of school programs are properly articulated and cascaded down to all stakeholders and secure their buy in.
- Strategize how to implement new programs and enhance current programs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of school programs.
Event Management:
- Oversee the organizing and managing of school events, including but not limited to parent-teacher conferences, award ceremonies, cultural events, elections, competitions etc
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, budgeting, scheduling, planning.
Communication and Promotion
- Work closely with the schools communication team to promote programs and events through various channels, ensuring maximum participation and engagement.
- Work with the communication team to ensure promotional materials, such as flyers, posters, and announcements are properly planned to generate excitement and interest.
Budget Oversight
- Develop and manage budgets for programs and events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Track program expenses, prepare financial reports, and provide regular updates to school administration.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster positive relationships with parents, students, faculty, and external partners to enhance participation and support for school programs and events.
- Act as a liaison between the school and community organizations involved in collaborative initiatives.
Evaluation and Feedback
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants to evaluate the success of programs and events.
- Use data and feedback to make recommendations for improvements and adjustments for future initiatives.
- Utilize student performance data to assess program effectiveness and make data driven decisions
Logistical Planning
- Oversee the coordination of all logistical aspects of programs and events, including transportation, catering, audio-visual requirements, and any other necessary arrangements.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with programs and events and implement strategies to mitigate

- Communication: A professional in this role must be able to clearly and concisely deliver information to a variety of audiences. Confident at presenting and discussing industry standard workflows and practices and be able to use multiple presentation tools and techniques, adapting/fitting them to audience and topic
- Collaboration. Interpersonal skills are necessary for working with staff, clients, and organizational leaders
- Decision making: Selecting, creating , revamping school programs that fit an organization requires well-thought-out decisions.
- Leadership: A person in this role must be able to effectively oversee and direct a team with a proven ability to influence others and drive results
- Instruction :The program manager must understand the concepts of teaching to help develop education programs.
- Critical thinking: An individual in this position must be able to assess and analyze current programs and know when and how to implement changes when necessary.
- Microsoft Word, Excel , PowerPoint
- Must be tech savvy
- Familiarity with budgets and strategic program planning
Qualifications
- First degree in Education or a related field.
- Educational leadership experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and educational standards.
- Familiarity with education technology and data analysis.
- NYSC certificate
Relevant Experience
- 5 – 10 Years of relevant experience in reputable secondary institution
- Track record for delivering results

- Excellent planning, tracking and record keeping skills
- Must possess qualities of good interpersonal skills, good communication skills, both oral and written
