In a resounding vote of confidence, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro is optimistic that Victor Osimhen’s prowess will be the key to clinching victory at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Peseiro emphasized the crucial role played by the Napoli striker in the Super Eagles’ qualification for the prestigious tournament, where Osimhen emerged as the top scorer with an impressive tally of 10 goals.
Expressing his confidence in Osimhen’s abilities, Peseiro went on to predict that the 25-year-old striker is poised to claim the top scorer title at the upcoming tournament in Cote d’Ivoire. Speaking at a celebratory dinner organized to honor Osimhen’s recognition as Africa’s best player, Peseiro acknowledged the collaborative effort of Osimhen’s teammates in his goal-scoring success during the qualifiers.
Peseiro stated, “From our team, he (Osimhen) was the highest goal scorer during the qualifiers.
