Job Description

The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence.

 Responsibilities

  • The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization online presence.
  • In addition to writing all product descriptions, specifications, allergies etc., proof reading and editing all contents provided before posting by developers.
  • This person will also work closely with the technical team to maintain site standards with regards to new development.
  • The Digital Content Specialist will also be responsible for crafting site & banner promotions passed on to him/her by the project manager, email newsletters with the use of existing templates, and online outreach campaigns (social media).
  • Overseeing the end-to-end process of content creation and dissemination across our blogs, websites, and social media channels.
  • Executing dynamic digital content campaigns across our web platforms and social channels.
  • Contributing actively to the planning and execution of impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with the Graphic Designer and illustrator to craft compelling visual contents.
  • Tracking and analyzing content performance across diverse digital platforms.
  • Refining and enhancing content through meticulous editing, ensuring adherence to grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style guidelines.
  • Crafting engaging content across multiple platforms such as blogs and social media, as needed.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to optimal SEO practices and our company’s established style guidelines in all content
  • Conducting comprehensive research on industry competitors, target audience, and relevant keywords to refine our digital marketing strategies

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing or a related field.
  • Communication skills – verbal & written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and SEO
  • Experience with content management system (Magento) is a plus.
  • Experience in web or graphic design is a plus.
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop and MailChimp skills
  • Proven ability to work within a cross-departmental team

Location: Oluyole, Ibadan – Oyo, Nigeria.
