Jesse Lingard, currently playing for FC Seoul in the K-League 1, has taken to social media to respond defiantly after his manager, Kim Gi-dong, questioned his abilities as a footballer. Lingard, who previously played for Manchester United and had a successful loan spell at West Ham, posted a message on Instagram addressing the criticism.
Despite Lingard’s move to FC Seoul not going as planned and his recent injury setback, he remains determined to overcome the challenges. Lingard sustained a knee injury in late March and is undergoing electrotherapy treatment for it. This setback comes after a period without a club following his release from Nottingham Forest.
In his Instagram post, Lingard expressed resilience, stating, “Accept what it is, let go of what it was and have faith in what it will be. P.S. we back on the grass.” Lingard, who has made three appearances for Seoul so far, aims to bounce back and feature for the first team in upcoming matches against Daegu FC, Pohang Steelers, and Seoul E-Land. Despite facing criticism and setbacks, Lingard remains determined to revive his career and make a positive impact on the pitch.
