Job Description
Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors specializing in furniture materials and interior design products.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors specializing in furniture materials and interior design products.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with the projects, store and production teams to determine material requirements for upcoming projects.
- Develop procurement strategies and plans to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
- Analyze supplier quotations, pricing, and terms to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and market survey to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all procured materials meet our stringent quality standards.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the procurement process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
- Any other task as assigned by line manager
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A higher degree/certificate is an added advantage
- 2 – 3 Years Experience in Procurement/Supply Chain
- Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, and experience in developing procurement strategies and implementing best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate bids and proposals and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Understanding of supplier risk management and the ability to assess and mitigate risks in the procurement process.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
