Job Description

Developing, writing, and editing communications and marketing materials (blog posts, social media content, press releases, speeches)

Responsibilities

  • Lead in managing an updated communication strategy
  • Developing, writing, and editing communications and marketing materials (blog posts, social media content, press releases, speeches)
  • Conduct surveys or contact people of the target audience to understand their views
  • Prepare reports for the management team, including recommendations to ensure a more positive attitude
  • Promote communications and marketing materials through social media
  • Regularly meet and arrange interviews with media personnel
  • Develop working relationships with journalists in different types of media outlets
  • Ensure that all marketing and communications material align with the brand’s standards
  • Maintain digital media archives (photos, videos)
  • Act as a spokesperson for the brand
  • Prepare and manage the organization’s budget regarding communication
  • Arrange news conferences for essential announcements
  • Perform media outreach to make the brand part of their publication
  • Work closely with marketing and product managers, designers, and website managers to collect information
  • Carry any other activities or task as assignment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years professional work experience in NGO will be preferred and an added advantage
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good networking Leadership skills
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
  • Knowledge of the associated Press style guide
  • Fluency in English language is essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to solve problems and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Dynamic and Fast learner with passion and curiosity
  • A dynamic personality with an eye for details and innovative
  • Strong computer skill in MS Office Suite is required
  • Understand cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age sensitivity and adaptability of state.
