We are seeking to hire a Procurement Analyst for an initial period of 6 months
Description
We are seeking to hire a Procurement Analyst for an initial period of 6 months (extendable to 9 months) to join our consultancy firm for a Supply Chain Acquisition Management Project. The candidate will manage the procurement process, report performance to operational stakeholders, and work with business functions and vendors to ensure the business continuity of the supply chain department through the transition phase. You will also be involved in transitioning and modifying key procurement and supply chain business processes to make them fit for purpose in the new operating environment.
This position will work closely with external vendors and internal operations groups to ensure that procurement processes are seamless, and efficient, and lead to stable procurement operations after the acquisition period. bayan
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement procurement strategies to maintain the security of supply through the transition phase
- Identify and implement sourcing needs based on project requirements.
- Perform RFP management including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts.
- Manage an efficient flow of products & services from procurement planning to delivering goods and services.
- Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review current procurement activities and identify potential cost improvement opportunities.
- Optimization of the interim Supply Chain process by implementing change through new process writing, new process flow development, and task-specific analytics/reporting.
- Develop new strategies, reporting tools, and procedures to improve, unify and harmonize procurement and associated logistics.
- Manage vendor contracts and compliance and provide guidance to vendor POC and business functions to ensure smooth and efficient contract management.
- Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls & processes through management dashboards and KPI reporting on key identified metrics.
- Other Supply Chain tasks as assigned job
Qualification
- 5 -10 years experience, predominantly in Procurement and Supply Chain roles.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in the Oil & Gas sector, preferably in a Procurement role.
- Experience with contracts (preparation & negotiation of supplier contracts).
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any field, preferably Supply Chain, Engineering, or Technology.
- Aptitude in data-driven decision-making, data analytics & reporting.
- SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory.
CRITICAL SKILLS
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimum supervision
- Must possess the ability to make sound judgments with confidence
- Possess experience (or have the ability to learn quickly) with procurement (e-procurement and analytical) tools
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work cross-functionally and across global teams
- Flexible work habits with maturity to accept changing demands as they occur.
