Up-and-coming Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has turned to social media to seek assistance after her house and investments were demolished by the Delta State government.
In an emotional plea directed at Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Okoro expressed her distress over the loss of her livelihood in Asaba, Delta State.
In her heartfelt message, Okoro appealed to Governor Oborevwori to intervene, highlighting her status as a struggling and hardworking individual striving to make a living in the state. Describing the devastation caused by the demolition, she implored the governor to take action, lamenting the crumbling of her world.
In a subsequent post, Okoro questioned the challenges she faced despite her hard work and dedication, lamenting the loss of her fish farm, house, and plantation. She reiterated her plea to Governor Oborevwori, urging him to address the situation and expressing her desperation for assistance.
The actress received an outpouring of sympathy and support from her colleagues in the entertainment industry and her fans. Fellow actress Jasmine Okafor, alongside others such as Destiny Etiko, Adinma Somadina, Benson Okonkwo, and Uche Nancy, expressed sorrow over Okoro’s plight and offered words of encouragement.
Fans also expressed their empathy through comments on Okoro’s post, with many expressing sadness and disbelief at the unfortunate turn of events. Some questioned why such hardships had befallen the hardworking actress, while others called for divine intervention and government accountability.
Okoro’s recent struggles come in the wake of a robbery at her mother’s new house, where thieves stole valuables and money. The incident occurred just a month after Okoro had gifted her mother the house, marking a significant milestone in their lives.
