Job Description

Group Vivendi Africa (GVA), a subsidiary of Vivendi, deploys and operates FTTH networks in 8 sub-Saharan African countries, with over 2 million eligible households and 1300 employees. Our product called CANALBOX is improving its notoriety, enabling the company to expand its market shares.

Job Summary

To launch our new entities and continue operating at our high standards, we are looking for a new Chief Financial Officer in this area. The CFO will have a major role in the strategic and operational management of the company’s activities in finance, supply chain, human resources, and procurement.

Leading a multidisciplinary team and reporting to the Group CFO and the area CEO, she/he is in charge of ensuring the financial health, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency of the area, as well as optimizing supply chain processes to support the company’s growth objectives.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities are (but not limited to):

  • Management of teams and service providers: accounting, treasury, controlling, human resources, logistics, etc.
  • Implement financial strategies to support the company’s business objectives in the area. chief financial officer
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Accounting, controlling, and reporting: guarantee the reliability of the company’s accounts, supervise the consolidation of financial data, draw up cost accounting and company performance indicators, and company’s budget and plan
  • Treasury, credit, debt collection, and relations with the banks. chief financial officer
  • Manage financial reporting to the shareholder, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of the company in the area (sales, operations, etc.) and identify areas for improvement
  • Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, tax authorities, and banks.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, performance management, and social relations.

Qualifications  

  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar executive role in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Business-oriented and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to manage a diverse team
  • Hands-on leader with a “can do” attitude.
  • Significant knowledge in the telecommunications sector or the mass distribution of technology-based products and services is a strong asset.
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in a vernacular language is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Nigeria.
  • Standard working hours with flexibility for addressing business needs.
  • Regular local and international travel for conferences or meetings.
