We foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and a good dose of laughter. We value our team and are committed to providing an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and do their best work.
The Challenge
We’re building a native Android app that needs to be both beautiful and functional, even on low-end devices with slow internet connections. This is a unique design challenge that requires creativity, technical know-how, and a deep empathy for our users.
Responsibilities
As our UI/UX Designer, you’ll be responsible for shaping the user experience of our app from start to finish. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to:
- Understand our users: Conduct research, gather feedback, and develop user personas to guide your design decisions.
- Design the interface: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that are intuitive, visually appealing, and optimised for performance. Job
- Test and iterate: Rigorously test your designs with real users, gather feedback, and iterate to create the best possible experience.
- Champion user-centred design: Be a strong advocate for our users, ensuring that their needs are always at the forefront of our product development process.
What We’re Looking For
- Curiosity and a drive to learn: You’re eager to explore new ideas, challenge assumptions, and continuously improve your craft.
- Technical proficiency: You have a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, Android design guidelines, and performance optimisation techniques.
- User empathy: You have a passion for understanding user needs and designing experiences that solve real problems.
- A bias for action: You’re not afraid to experiment, make mistakes, and learn quickly.
- A sense of humour: We work hard, but we also believe in having fun along the way!
- A portfolio of great work: Show us what you’ve done!
What We Offer
- A supportive and collaborative work environment: We value teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect.
- Opportunities for growth: We’ll invest in your professional development through training, mentorship, and challenging projects.
- Competitive compensation and benefits: We offer a comprehensive package that includes salary, health insurance, and paid time off.
- The chance to make a real difference: Your work will have a direct impact on the lives of our users.
