Nollywood actress Yewande Adekola has expressed her frustration and shock after an incident involving a reckless driver, who she believes was under the influence of drugs, hit her car and fled the scene.

Taking to her Instagram page, Yewande narrated the harrowing experience, which occurred around 8 PM on Sunday at Lekki County. She was in the middle of filming when a young man, driving from the opposite lane, suddenly veered into her car. The unexpected collision left her and those around her in shock.

Yewande described how the driver, clearly disoriented and seemingly high on drugs, collided with her car not once, but twice. Despite the commotion and shouts from witnesses, the driver sped off as if nothing had happened. The same driver reportedly repeated this reckless behavior at another location shortly after.

Good morning guys, something happened to me last night and I think I want to talk about it. I was filming yesterday night around 8 PM at Lekki County and on that road, I was on my lane and a young man from another side of the lane suddenly ran into me with his car. When he hit me with the car, I was shocked because he was on the other side of the road heading in the opposite direction and shouldn’t have had any business hitting me.

As he hit me I screamed and everyone around me shouted. People told him to reverse that he had hit someone and to my amazement, he ran into me again. It was then I saw his eyes, he was already high (drunk). This wasn’t alcohol, I believe he was high on drugs. He wasn’t himself, he wasn’t self-aware. He just sped off like he did nothing and I told my PA and others to pursue him and the driver had repeated the same thing at another axis.”

Captioning the video on her Instagram page, she wrote:

“To that young man that hit me on the Lekki County road last night around 8 PM, this message is for you. You know yourself and God knows exactly who you are and where you are.”

Yewande’s experience isn’t isolated. Last year, reality TV sensation White Money lamented on social media after a truck collided with his car, causing significant damage. He expressed frustration over the incident, believing the truck driver had intentionally targeted his vehicle.

Similarly, reality TV star Nelson Enwerem, known as Prince, had a near-miss with a Rolls Royce due to a reckless bus driver in Lagos. He shared his relief and gratitude for avoiding damage to the luxury car, while expressing his anger towards the careless driver.
