The Kaduna State Government has denied claims of a suicide bomb attack along the Kaduna-Abuja highway, yesterday.

According to a statement published by the supervisory commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, “Our attention has been drawn to reports that a suicide attack or a similar incident occurred along the Kaduna-Abuja Road.”

The Ministry stated that as of the time of the update, no such occurrence, suicide attack or otherwise, has happened on the Kaduna-Abuja Road.

It went on to clarify that security personnel and intelligence sources along the route were in continual contact with the government, and that physical inspections and security assessments were still being conducted.

The statement said that allegations of such an incidence were incorrect.

It stated that security services stationed along the Kaduna-Abuja Road and surrounding areas will continue to monitor and fully implement all processes to ensure the safety of inhabitants and commuters.
