Sandra Iheuwa Criticizes Sophia Momodu Over N23 Million House Rent

Sandra Iheuwa, the babymama of talent manager Ubi Franklin, has taken to social media to criticize Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of singer Davido, for what she calls “misplaced priorities.”

This criticism comes in the wake of Sophia’s public revelation of a N23 million rent receipt for her apartment in Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, amidst her custody battle with Davido.

Sandra Iheuwa argued that the substantial amount spent on rent could be better utilized in starting a lucrative business, which would provide more financial security. She emphasized the importance of financial prudence, especially for single mothers, and suggested that Sophia should cut her coat according to her size.

Following backlash from some who claimed that Sophia has multiple businesses, Sandra challenged these claims by asking for proof of such businesses. She reiterated her stance, questioning how spending N23 million on rent instead of investing in property constitutes a good financial decision.

Sandra’s statements included:

Mehn….the way some people (especially some women) think cos she paid N23million in rent in an instalment that she can afford it. Where did y’all go to school??? 23 million on rent, not even towards buying a house. Please explain this to me, how that’s a good financial decision? I need to see the multiple businesses being claimed! Cos his is the height of not cutting your coat according to your size.”

Sandra’s criticism was echoed by rapper and media personality N6, who pointed out the irony in Sophia’s situation. N6 highlighted that while Sophia pays N25 million annually for her luxury apartment, she reportedly lacks a car and had requested a Range Rover from Davido. N6 questioned why Sophia couldn’t opt for a more affordable living arrangement and use the saved money to buy a car.

This isn’t the first time Sandra has publicly criticized Sophia. Last year, in response to Sophia’s claims of financial abuse, Sandra accused Sophia of having an undue sense of entitlement to Davido’s money. Sandra stressed that being a babymama doesn’t entitle one to financial support beyond the responsibilities of caring for the child.

Sandra Iheuwa and others believe that Sophia’s financial decisions are imprudent, advocating instead for investments that offer more long-term security and stability.
