Overview

Managing debt: This involves actively working to reduce the company’s debt and bad debt and ensuring that outstanding payments are collected in a timely manner.

Liaising with other departments: The Credit Control Manager will often need to work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve any issues that may be preventing payments from being made.

Reporting: This role often involves preparing and presenting reports on the company’s debt situation to senior management.

Maintaining relationships: The Credit Control Manager is responsible for maintaining good relationships with customers, while also ensuring that they pay their invoices on time.

Risk assessment: This involves assessing the credit risk of new and existing customers and making decisions about whether to extend credit to them.

Qualification

  • 5-10 years of experience in credit control or a related field is often required.

  • Attention to Detail: The ability to accurately process and manage large amounts of financial data, and to identify and correct any errors or discrepancies.
