Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Annie Idibia has shared a motivational quote after being mocked by a TikToker for her marriage to legendary singer 2Baba.
A Nigerian woman sparked reactions by sharing her thoughts on Annie and her husband in a viral TikTok video. The lady described Annie as “God’s strongest soldier” and urged people to keep her in their prayers. However, she concluded her statement with uncontrollable laughter, mocking Annie’s situation.
In what seems to be a reaction, Annie Idibia posted a video on her Instagram page featuring a motivational quote. The quote read,
People see you in one light or another, depending on the way they think and the way they see. It has nothing to do with the truth of who you really are.”
A few weeks back, Annie Idibia’s daughter, Isabella, also responded to a shading video about her mother. A TikTok star had reposted a video of a lady dancing to Bracket and Wizkid’s song “Girl,” shading Annie by suggesting that she might love a man but is not as delusional as 2Baba’s wife. Isabella reposted the video, captioning it as her current mood, but clarified that she did not agree with the lady’s statement and was just catching a cruise.
Annie Idibia, who has been married to 2Baba for over a decade, has faced numerous challenges in her marriage due to the singer’s constant cheating. In 2021, their marriage nearly collapsed after Annie accused 2Baba, his second babymama, and his family of not loving and caring about her since their marriage. She claimed that 2Baba spent nights under the same roof with Pero, his second babymama, when he visited their kids. Her public outburst led to 2Baba’s youngest brother, Charles Idibia, exposing her publicly.
Despite these challenges, the couple managed to settle their differences. In 2022, 2Baba publicly apologized to Annie and denounced his role model title.
